IT’S RODEO TIME!!! Welcome Cowboys and Cowgirls to the 2009-2010 Georgia Junior Rodeo (GJRA) Season. There is an air of excitement about the upcoming year and we are all looking forward to the BEST rodeo season ever!!! We hope you guys are geared up and ready as our new season will start Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Lightning “P” Arena in Resaca, Georgia. Call in for this rodeo is Monday, September 21, 2009 from 8 until 10PM to Tracy White at 706-397-2452. Call in is mandatory for participation. There will be a GJRA Board Meeting prior to Rodeo.
We have already received numerous calls from prospective new members about the upcoming season and we invite everyone to bring family and friends to enjoy the GJRA fun and excitement. GJRA age divisions are 6 and under, girls and boys 7-11 and 12 & Over. GJRA events include Boys 12 & over Calf Roping, Boys 6-11 and girls breakaway roping, girls goat tying, boys and girls team roping, girls pole bending, boys calf/steer chute dogging, girls barrel racing, boys steer riding. The 6 and under events include dummy roping, goat tying pole bending and barrel racing. Entry Fees for 6 and under events are $10.00 all other events are $12.00 there is a $10.00 arena fee per contestant per rodeo. Yearly Membership is $40.00 per member, additional Entry forms and waivers can be accessed at http://www.gjra.org. Remember, you must bring your Birth Certificate, the attached membership form, and liability waivers to the Rodeo in order to participate. (Parent/Guardian must be present to sign forms and waivers)
