 Update:
If you are not competing in the current event, please stay OUT of the arena. Secretaries must be able to visualize the flagman to accurately capture contestants' times. It is also a safety concern. For those who observe inside the arena during 6 & under goat tying, please stay to the west side of the arena so there will be no interference with flagging or timing.  This will allow spectators on the fence to see the competition as well.

Update: A huge THANK YOU to the whole GJRA FAMILY, you were so generous and gave from your heart to help the Phipps Family as they endure this stressful time in their lives.  I will post updates as they become available following the Kidney Transplant. Thanks Again for you generosity, you are truely a GJRA Family that cares. Update: GREAT NEWS!!! Both Patricia and Marissa are home and doing well!!!

Welcome Cowboys and Cowgirls to GJRA's 2011-2012 Season

What an exciting time to be a part of the GJRA as it evolves and grows.
Last year Georgia Junior Rodeo saw many changes, as we expanded our Rodeo format to include an all new High School Division.  Thanks kids, your response was amazing!!! We expect to see even more participation in the High School Division this year.  And what about those little guys in the 6 and under division, if you failed to notice that was a nail biting race right down to the finals... In fact, the competition was fierce in every division throughout the season. We saw lead swaps in many events right down to the finals rodeo, not to mention the numerous point ties at the awards ceremony.  That tells us that skills are strong and getting stronger across the organization.  A wise person once said, you're only as good as the people you compete against.  Well, believe it!!!  That is why GJRA Members are the most skilled and best competitors in this part of the country... Congratulations to all our award winners at the 2011 Finals Rodeo!!! Your hard work and dedication is showing...

GJRA is an organization you can be proud to be part of. The GJRA membership is respected throughout the Southeast United States with a reputation of producing strongly skilled competitors who display great sportsmanship.  Speaking of a Great Sportsman, OUR HAT IS OFF TO GJRA's OWN HUNTER SHAHAN who recently saved $500.00 of his own rodeo winnings, not to spend on himself, but he donated it to the Children of St. Judes Hospital at the St. Jude Rodeo at Yates Farm in Ringgold, GA. Hunter, you truely are an amazing cowboy both inside and outside the arena. You are a great role model and a true leader in the GJRA and we are so proud of you!!!

So pull on your boots, and lets make the 2011-2012 season one to remember!!!

See you at the Rodeo!!!
